We’re excited you are considering a project with JG! We want to assure you we have a process in place to make sure your construction/remodeling project goes as smoothly as possible, with clear on-going communication between you, our client, and the JG team. This will bring you outstanding results. (In fact, many of our clients say they enjoyed the construction process...we think that says a lot!)
Here are the basic steps we take, whether a new home, residential remodel, or commercial assignment-but keep in mind we customize each and every project to our client’s needs. You get what you want, not what we want!
1. We discuss at a high level your project, needs, timing, and expectations. No matter how big or how small your construction needs, you’ll speak with JG’s experienced Sales Consultant or Owner. This will take place based on your preference, either in person at your site, our Design Gallery, or over the phone. Learn more about the JG team.
2. An in-depth meeting takes place either at JG’s Design Gallery or at your project site. We’ll start to talk through more of the specifics. We’ll ask you lots of questions so we all have a thorough understanding of the “desired end result.” We will take photo documentation if available and set up a time to review the ideas and budget.
3. JG puts together a preliminary budget/proposal/concept and we meet again to review, either at JG’s Design Gallery or at another location convenient for you. We’ll discuss more project details at this point, including timing and cost estimates. You’ll review this estimate and have some questions for us-then we work through those details, revise the scope of work and plan until the outlined project fully meets your needs. We’ll then all sign a pre-construction agreement that lays out what you will receive and what JG will deliver. A deposit is required at this point, and we solidify the timing with the end in mind.
5. We are now into the design phase. Your Sales Consultant will introduce you to the Director of Client Fulfillment who will guide you in the construction process. You will meet additional JG staff who will be involved in your project, such as the Design Specialist, Interior Designer and lead Foreman. You will be heavily involved in helping us design to your specifications and budget-in 3D! Once the design is finalized and signed off, we pull together all the components for the actual construction process, which typically takes 2-3 weeks. Then a construction contract is produced-including a guaranteed price on your project-all before we start!
6. Finally, construction gets underway as planned. JG keeps the communication channels open throughout the entire construction process, schedules are managed, decisions are proactive and the end is achieved.
