How does the virtual design process work?
1. The designer consults with the owner to collect design information and to gain an understanding of the site context, basic design intent and architectural program.
2. The designer constructs the basic concept model, including relevant terrain and existing structures as applicable.
3. The client and designer conduct a live walkthrough, and also view presentations and/or drawings, digital renderings, animation and sun studies that can be emailed or viewed on the internet or on a CD/DVD.
4. The Virtual Building model is developed and refined, testing various design options until the owner is able to say “That’s it, that’s what we want to build!”
5. Preliminary and final construction drawings are produced directly from the virtual technology model (can be used for posters or brochures, video and even plastic scale models.)
