Panelized Homes

Panelized homes are built using SIP’s (Structurally Insulated Panels). This system is an engineered wood building component made of rigid foam insulation between oriented strand board. SIP homes are extremely energy efficient, stronger and more quiet and draft free than a standard stud framed home with common fiberglass insulation. The panels are made at a factory instead of at the job site, which saves on labor, reduces waste, controls costs and insures a consistently high quality product.

Other advantages of a SIP home include; less job site waste, lower heating bills, fast-growth harvested farm trees are used rather than old growth forests and up to 35% less raw timber is used in building. Everyone benefits, in that the builder has a weather tight home in a very short time and the homeowner has a home with superior structural and insulation values. What is really exciting is that almost any home style or design can be built using this system. The whole house does not have to be completely panelized, you can just have panelized walls or a panelized roof.
